Welcome to my little piece of the internet.

My name is Virginia, but I go by Ginny. I am a 30-something stay-at-home mom. Eight years ago, I married the love of my life, who happened to be a United States soldier. Together, we have 1 crazy dog and 5 amazing children. Katie is my teenage daughter from my previous marriage, our 4 children together are Junior (age 6), Isabelle, (age 4.5), William (age 3) and our youngest (AND LAST CHILD) Abigail is 18 months. [ages accurate as of July 2016 LOL]

Being an Army family, we moved around quite a bit so this forum was a great way to keep in touch & share our life with family & friends around the world. In fact, we DID live half way around the world in GERMANY for 2 years (just move back stateside last summer)!

My husband is now medically retired from the Army and we've put down roots in Tennessee! Last summer we purchased our "Forever Home" on 1.5 acres of land and we've been slowly doing projects both inside and out!

I encourage you to take advantage of the comments feature on this blog as I will personally read each & every comment and respond to questions.

However, if you wish to contact me privately, please send an email.

The title of my blog came out of a brainstorming session over a period of several days, during which I was in a near-constant state of being distracted by my kids. All mothers know what I'm talking about. It is inevitable that the very moment you try to do anything other than give your child(ren) your undivided attention, they will climb on, fall off of, break or spill something. You are then pulled away and by the time you come back to it, you forget what you were doing! I call this being MOMentarily distracted.

So with that in mind, let me officially welcome you to my MOMentarily distracted life - the good, the bad, & the ugly (but I hope mostly GOOD)! And please chime in with comments on my posts so I don't feel like I'm just talking to myself!
